Sensitech Management to Speak at Two Life Science Conferences
Cold Chain Distribution and Best Practices to be Highlighted at HDMA and PDA
BEVERLY, Mass., June 11, 2007 – Three
senior staff members from Sensitech Inc., a global leader in cold chain
visibility solutions, will focus on cold-chain distribution practices when
they participate in speaking engagements at the Healthcare Distribution
Management Association (HDMA) conference and the Parenteral Drug Association’s
(PDA) 2007 Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Management Conference. Sensitech is

Tomorrow, June 12, Sensitech’s Strategic Marketing Director for
Life Sciences, Henry Ames, will join Cardinal Health’s Robert Brown,
Senior Director of Sales and Account Management for Specialty Pharmaceutical
Services, at the HDMA conference. Held at the Boston Marriott Copley Place,
the theme for the HDMA 2007 Distribution Management Conference & Technology
Expo is “The Supply Chain Evolution: New Directions & Dimensions.”
Ames and Brown will discuss “Cold Chain Best Practices,” which
will be moderated by John G. Howells, HDMA’s industry relations director.
With the growing number of products that require cold chain handling, the
HDMA Logistics Operations Committee has focused on developing best practices
for distribution of these unique products. This session will highlight
best practices for product transportation and storage of cold chain products
as well as the latest regulations and global trends in the cold chain.

On Thursday, June 14, Sensitech’s Director of Quality Assurance, Dave
Ray, and Sensitech’s Senior Project Manager/Industrial Engineer, Mark
Maurice, will present at the PDA 2007 Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Management
Conference. Held at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda in Bethesda, Md., this year’s
conference theme is, “Transportation and Storage of Temperature-Sensitive
Pharmaceuticals in a Risk-Based Regulatory Environment: A 21st Century Initiative.”
Ray will be the moderator of “Plenary Session 8: Support of Service
Providers to Technical Report No. 39.” Maurice, who will be one of the
session’s three speakers, will highlight thermal mapping protocols.
This session will examine the 2007 revision of PDA Technical Report No. 39 – “Cold
Chain Guidance for Medicinal Products: Maintaining the Quality of Temperature-Sensitive
Medicinal Products Through the Transportation Environment.” Speakers
will present examples of their technical support and cold chain solutions to
manage their risk through the supply chain. This will include information on
air transportation, trailer mapping test protocols and supporting distribution
in the cold chain process to help to manage risk for temperature-sensitive
products.
