Continuous Improvement Programs
Sensitech® takes a scientific approach to helping you improve your cold chain. Improved cold chain management can result in:
- fewer product losses
- reduced quarantine time
- better regulatory compliance, and
- performance-based accountability of outsourced logistics service providers.
Ultimately, the goal is to ensure product quality and patient safety. While traditional methods of temperature monitoring facilitate accept or reject decisions and assist in dispute resolution, analyzing a single event does little to assist managers in identifying the root causes of cold chain problems. Sensitech’s team of experts can help identify cold chain weaknesses and assist with the development of a rational and documented risk-based approach toward continuous process improvement.
By applying a disciplined, six-step methodology to cold chain analysis, we can identify weaknesses before they become systemic problems.
Six Steps to an Improved Cold Chain
Step 1: Define – Our Professional Services team utilizes a risk-based approach when defining goals and objectives. We then develop and articulate a clear operational plan to outline the goals of the project, as well as what will be observed and measured and why.
Step 2: Plan – We develop a detailed data-collection plan that is reliable and statistically valid. Sensitech relies on years of experience and standards-based guidance in determining the precise sampling size and Monitor Placement Protocol for the appropriate level of granularity and accuracy of data collection.
Step 3: Measure – Our team includes seasoned project managers who strive to execute every project with absolute precision. Utilizing our validated TempTale monitors, the advisors manage the collection of an unbroken chain of clean and comprehensive data.
Step 4: Analyze – Understanding the reams of collected raw data requires a team of experts and the right tools. Our professional team evaluates cold chain data using proprietary software and applies extensive industry experience to identify weakness in the temperature-sensitive supply chain.
Step 5: Recommend – Sensitech’s team delivers clear and concise reports that make it easier to understand the collected data. We then turn information into action plans, rationally prioritizing changes and driving meaningful and measurable outcomes.
Step 6: Verify – Ensuring that process changes maintain the desired outcome is the ultimate goal. We work to facilitate communication across the supply chain for overall improved temperature-sensitive supply chain management - including collaboration with customers, suppliers, 3PLs, service providers, and partners.
Our engagements are designed to net tangible results. Driven by objective data, our team understands how to identify process changes and will prioritize those changes so customers know where and when to invest resources.
