Re: Failures with Stop Keys
Product Distribution
Sensitech distributed Stop Keys from 1995 through September 1997. These keys
are used to stop the TempTale and TempTale 3 monitors from recording temperature
data at the completion of a trip.
Description of Fault
Sensitech is voluntarily recalling all Stop Keys. Stop Keys can inadvertently
reset the TempTale 3 monitor, which causes customers to receive incorrect trip
information from the TempTale 3.
Corrective Action to Take
Consumers should stop using these Stop Keys immediately and dispose of them.
In lieu of using the Stop Keys, we recommend poking the Start button
(the hole without the metal ring) with a pen at the end of the trip.
This will Date Stamp the data, which is visible when the data is downloaded
into TempTale Manager. The Date Stamp mark appears as an arrow on the
graph view or in italics in the tabular view.
Customers may also stop the monitor by downloading the TempTale monitor
into TempTale Manager software. (If prompted whether or not to stop the
monitor, select YES.)
