TempTale®4 Intrinsically Safe
Sensitech’s TempTale®4 Temperature and Humidity Intrinsically Safe (TT4 IS) monitor is an easy-to-use, battery powered electronic monitor used to measure temperature and humidity in flammable and explosive environments or other such hazardous environments containing atmospheric explosive and flammable elements. An Intrinsic Safety (IS) rating indicates that the TT4 IS is lab tested and certified to not produce a spark or thermal effect that would be capable of causing ignition in an explosive atmosphere.
As part of the Intrinsically Safe Certificate of Compliance, the TT4 IS is eligible to bear the UL, cUL, ATEX, IECEx markings, indicating that the product has been evaluated for use in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Australia. The TT4 IS monitor shares all of the same design, operating and performance characteristics of our standard TT4 Humidity monitor, with the exception that the IS version contains special circuitry that complies with intrinsically safe operation requirements.
The TT4 IS is UL and cUL certified as Intrinsically Safe for Class I, Divisions 1, Groups A–D hazardous locations. The TT4 IS also adheres to all applicable EN standards and is ATEX, IECEx certified for use in potentially explosive environments. The TT4 IS monitor can be used in various applications including monitoring of ammunition rooms, oil and gas processing, laboratory monitoring, pharmaceutical storage and HVAC systems monitoring.
