Carrier Supports Vaccine Distribution in North Carolina with Advanced Monitoring Solutions and Lynx™ Digital Capabilities

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Carrier is teaming up with Atrium Health to provide valuable real-time tracking and monitoring insights into COVID-19 vaccine conditions as part of mass vaccination events taking place across North Carolina, including at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. Through its Sensitech business, Carrier is supporting several sites administering hundreds of vaccine doses per day. Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR) the leading global provider of intelligent climate and energy solutions.

Carrier is supplying the healthcare system with Sensitech’s next-generation IoT supply chain monitoring devices for real-time tracking of vaccine shipments throughout the state, as well as a stationary temperature monitoring system to track vaccines stored at Bank of America Stadium. The devices deliver real-time data that can be analyzed with Carrier’s Lynx™ digital solution to give added visibility into vaccine conditions, such as temperature and location, as doses move from a distribution center through administration.

“We are pleased our advanced cold chain technology solutions can assist organizations to reduce the risk of vaccine temperature excursions or loss,” said David Appel, President, Refrigeration, Carrier. “This collaboration demonstrates how our realtime IoT solutions can help connect the dots across the cold chain by delivering actionable data in the moment and further offering predictive analytics to support data-driven decisions.”

Carrier is working closely with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, distribution centers, retailers and vaccine administrators around the world to move, monitor and store vaccines. Carrier is positioned to provide needed support for mass vaccination sites and safely storing and monitoring large quantities of vaccines.
